Top Nine Instagram Posts 2021

 It’s that time of year again… These are my Top 9 posts on Instagram during 2021.

 The first one is of course the fantastic pencil drawing entirely by John Byrne, 7 and 9 is my inking of the drawing. Happy to see that five Middle-Earth drawings are found among the top 9:s. My inking of Wonder Woman by Joe Madureira is represented in 2, 5 and 6. A study after Aaron Blaise is number 3. 

2021 was in many ways a return to my love of rendering, traditional pencil drawing and digital inking. Looking ahead, I still have four commissioned pieces in progress. Would really like to draw more character portraits from Lord of The Rings as well, preferably in pencil. I will keep studying fundamentals and anatomy with my teacher Matthew Archambault - I have a long duration “modeling form” assignment in progress that I hope to return to any day now.
